Hop on the Bus, Gus

FEAR: BRT will cost C-TRAN a lot more money to operate, and pull from other much-needed C-TRAN services.

FACT: BRT will save C-TRAN as much as $17 million over the next 20 years, compared to running existing service on Routes 4 and 44.

Yes, that's almost a million dollars a year savings.  What other project can you identify that actually saves an agency, and the taxpaying community, that much?

This fact has been confirmed by independent sources, including a consultant of national transit planning expertise, and an independent expert review panel.   If you don't believe us, check out

This savings means that C-TRAN will not pull from other services to support BRT; instead, BRT’s savings means reinvestment on other routes, such as Mill Plain, Highway 99, service to Camas, Battle Ground, Ridgefield or La Center, and still have money in reserve!
